Hello, I'm Dr. Stephanie!
If you grew up in a Latine family, you may remember hearing “Sana, sana, colita de rana” whenever you got hurt. Maybe it came with a kiss on the forehead, a hug from a loved one, or the reassurance that somehow everything would be okay. There are so much love and comfort held in those words, and sometimes they are exactly what we need to hear. But there are moments in life where some hurts become harder to soothe with just words.
Maybe you are trying to balance the expectations of your family with the life you want for yourself. Maybe you feel caught between cultures, overwhelmed by anxiety, disconnected in your relationships, or unsure of who you are becoming. You may even understand why you feel the way you do but still find yourself repeating patterns you wish you could change.
Therapy can be a place to slow down and begin making sense of those experiences.
I am especially passionate about working with people navigating bicultural identities, family and relationship dynamics, life transitions, anxiety, trauma, and the complicated experience of trying to honor where you come from while also figuring out who you want to be. For many of my clients, this includes learning that caring for themselves does not have to mean abandoning their family, culture, or values.
In our work together, you do not have to leave parts of yourself at the door. Your culture, language, family history, relationships, identities, and experiences all belong in the room.
As a bilingual therapist, I offer therapy in English, Spanish, or a combination of both. Sometimes the words come more naturally in one language than another, and you should not have to translate yourself in order to be understood.
Whether you are coming to therapy because something feels painful, something in your life is changing, or you simply want to understand yourself more deeply, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can feel understood while also creating meaningful change.
My Clinical Approach
My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and culturally responsive, with Interpersonal Process Therapy at the center of my work. I believe the ways we connect with others are shaped by our earliest relationships, cultural experiences, and the messages we receive about ourselves and the world around us.
Together, we may explore patterns that show up in your relationships with family, partners, friends, and even within the therapy relationship itself. With curiosity and compassion, we can better understand how these experiences influence the ways you communicate, set boundaries, navigate conflict, express your needs, and seek connection.
Culture and context are central to this work. Family expectations, cultural values, language, gender, identity, immigration experiences, and larger systems can all shape what we learn about vulnerability, responsibility, independence, and belonging. I strive to create space to explore these influences without assuming there is one “right” way to relate to others.
My style is warm, genuine, curious, and engaged. I’ll listen closely, notice patterns with you, and gently invite new perspectives. Ultimately, I hope our work helps you deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships so you can make more intentional choices about how you want to connect with others and move through your life.

Outside of Work
When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m usually finding ways to slow down and enjoy the little things. I love crafting and getting lost in a creative project, putting together florals, listening to music or podcasts, spending time outdoors, and being with my family and friends. You can also find me watching a good movie, working on a puzzle, or cheering (sometimes a little too loudly) for my favorite college football team. And, of course, a lot of my time is spent with my two dogs, Russell and Winston, who are always happy to join me for a walk or an adventure outside.
