Hello, I'm Gio!
Are you feeling disconnected in your relationships?
Maybe life has gotten busy, conversations turn into misunderstandings, or you find yourselves feeling more like roommates than partners. You remember when things felt easier—when you felt close, understood, and secure—but you’re not sure how to get back there. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially when you don’t quite know what to expect.
As a therapist, my goal is to help you rebuild connection, trust, and intimacy—whether you’re coming in as a couple or seeking support as an individual. I work with couples and partners who feel stuck, disconnected, or uncertain about their future, guiding them toward clearer communication, deeper understanding, and meaningful, lasting change. I also support individuals who want to better understand themselves, navigate emotions more effectively, and build practical skills they can use in their relationships and everyday lives.
I take a collaborative, active approach to therapy. In our work, I’ll help you slow down conversations, express your needs more clearly, and feel more understood—both within yourself and with your partner(s). At the same time, we’ll focus on strengthening the positive foundation of your relationships—your friendship, shared values, and sense of being on the same team—so that you’re not only working through challenges, but also building something that feels fulfilling and sustainable.
I approach this work through an LGBTQIA+ affirming and polyamory/consensual non-monogamy (CNM) affirming lens. I honor the diversity of relationship structures, identities, and lived experiences, and strive to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and supported in building relationships that align with your values and needs.
Whether you’re seeking support as a couple or individually, my hope is that you leave our work feeling more clear, connected, and equipped to move forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.
My Approach
My relational and couples work is grounded in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach that helps couples strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and restore emotional closeness. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that show up in your relationship and practice new ways of engaging with one another that feel more supportive and effective.
For individual therapy, I tailor my approach to your unique needs. I often incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and help you navigate intense feelings or stressful situations. I also draw from Cognitive and Narrative therapies to explore how your thoughts, beliefs, and lived experiences shape how you see yourself and relate to others. Throughout our work, I emphasize practical, skill-based tools you can apply in your everyday life.
My style is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth, while still offering structure and direction. I am committed to creating a space that feels inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive. I offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and I enjoy working individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds and diverse relationship structures.

Outside of Work...
When I’m not working, I’m likely playing squash or hanging out with my puppy, Raspberry. I love traveling—especially trips to Brazil to see family or to explore somewhere new. At home, you’ll find me making pottery, tending to my plants, baking sourdough, or listening to Bad Bunny on repeat.
